Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as PDF to PNG?

No. PDF to PNG renders whole pages. This tool extracts individual embedded images; vector drawings and page text are not separate photos.

Why are some images missing?

Images smaller than 32 pixels are skipped. Vector artwork and shapes may not be stored as extractable raster images.

Is PNG better than JPG?

PNG is lossless and suits diagrams; JPG uses lossy compression and is usually smaller for photos.

What happens when several images are found?

A single image is delivered as an image file; multiple extracted images are bundled in a ZIP.

What is the free PDF limit?

Guests can upload files up to 25 MB each. A free account raises the limit to 50 MB per file, and Premium allows 500 MB per file with larger batches.
